Philip began his career at the onset of the Global Financial Crisis. He is keenly aware of the damage an imperfect portfolio can do as one reaches retirement age. He believes that some investors maintain a too-high exposure to volatile stocks as they seek higher returens than those currently offered in the fixed income markets. To mitigate these risks, he analyzes alternatives, such as REITs and MICs that can provide solid returns, offsetting the risk of volatility in the stock markets.
Philip is a McGill Commerce graduate. He lives in the Trinity Bellwoods area of Toronto. He is a big sports enthusiast, and is deeply involved in community and local charitable organizations.
