With over 12 years experience in the financial services industry, Martin Lochran joins Foster & Associates as a fully licensed Portfolio Manager. Martin believes there is a time to be invested and there is a time to protect capital. Business cycles ebb and flow and there are appropriate assets to own during each phase of the cycle.
Martin is fully aware of the very trusted role he plays in his clients' lives. No matter what stage of life you are currently experiencing, he is capable of structuring portfolios based on your needs and sensitivities. Martin’s exposure to world markets and their socio-economic cultures began in 1985. For 17 years, as Director of Sales for Amcor PET Packaging, Martin managed worldwide sales across 28 countries for a large corporate account. During this time Martin honed his economic forecasting skills by managing the complexities of a precise global supplychain model.
Following a major corporate restructuring, Martin entered the investment service industry. In 2007, drawing on his corporate and world sales experience, Martin acquired his Portfolio Manager (CIM – Canadian Investment Manager) and CIWM (Certified International Wealth Manager) designations. Along with his Insurance license, Martin is capable of managing clients with any size of portfolio; from High Net Worth families that require proper Estate Planning and Asset Allocation to Millenials just starting out on their investing journey. Retirees are also appreciative of the coaching he provides so they better understand the risk they may be taking on without knowing it.
Martin and his wife, along with their two children, reside in The Beach neighbourhood of Toronto. Avid skiers, the family skis at Osler Bluff Ski Club where his wife volunteers and Martin supervises the U10&U8 racing programs, mentoring young race coaches to ensure the highest capabilities and ethics. Martin was awarded the Alpine Canada Race Coach of the Year for 2020.
Martin's charitable activities include working with the Scottish Rite Charitable Foundation of Canada that builds learning centres for Dyslexic children across Canada.
