Adam Levy, CIM®, FCSI®
“Compound interest is the eighth wonder of the world. He who understands it, earns it…he who doesn’t…pays it.” – Albert Einstein
Don’t underestimate the power of compounding. It is not necessary to swing for the fences attempting to hit a homerun.
Adam thinks differently about investing and his clients share the same belief. Growing capital steadily and making downside risk protection the first priority, is the focus. Meeting goals without going through the rollercoaster ride is what we do. In a world where it’s cheap and easy to get exposure to the market with ETFs, Adam provides value using alternative investments in an effort to significantly reduce systematic risk.
Tax and Estate planning and insurance are also important to consider in the wealth management of any household. Adam spends a great deal of time getting to know his clients through a discovery process that helps him allocate capital appropriately. As a discretionary Portfolio Manager, he will customize each client’s portfolio to their individual needs and risk tolerance.
Adam’s career began briefly at Scotia McLeod, where he helped a team transition to GMP Private Client (now Richardson GMP) in 2007. In 2011, Adam moved to Macquarie Private Wealth, which was later acquired by Richardson GMP. He joined Foster in late 2017 to further his career and to work independently.
He holds the Chartered Investment Manager (CIM) designation and has completed the Advanced Retirement Management Strategies course, Portfolio Management Techniques (PMT), Wealth Management Essentials (WME), Advanced Investment Strategies (AIS), the Options Licensing Course (OLC) and the Derivatives Fundamentals (DFC) courses.
