With over 35 years of experience as an Investment Advisor in the Financial Services Industry, John’s successful career has spanned numerous business cycles. The longevity of his professional life provides him with a unique perspective on financial markets. He specializes in providing investment advice geared toward preservation of capital and income requirements for high net worth individuals and charitable organizations.
Following the completion of his M.B.A from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario, John began his career at Wood Gundy Inc. in 1980. In 1990 he became Vice-President of Investor Relations at The Learning Company (formerly Softkey) until the company was purchased by Mattel Inc. in 1999.
In 2000 John resumed his career as an Investment Advisor with a boutique investment dealer (Watt Carmichael Inc.). John joined Foster & Associates in 2006.
