Scott and his family have lived in Richmond Hill since 1992. He has been managing his financial planning practice in the GTA since 2002. Scott has an MBA from the Schulich School of Business as a finance major and holds the CFP (Certified Financial Planner) and CIM (Chartered Investment Manager) designations.
The ever changing world of finance keeps Scott continuously learning. Scott believes that successful investing does not require more “information”, but requires more insight. He keenly follows and analyzes market trends in order to uncover investment opportunities in any market condition. Keeping his practice small allows Scott to create value for his clients as well as build strong relationships so he can tailor investment strategies to his client’s needs. “When clients choose to invest money with me they are entrusting me with a huge responsibility and it’s one I take to heart.”
In 2010 Scott suffered a severe spinal cord injury. With the skill of his surgeons, talent of his therapists and strength and support of his family he made a remarkable recovery. As a result he is keenly aware of the importance in having a comprehensive financial plan which includes planning not only for current needs and our retirement, but risk management planning should we become disabled, and estate planning once we pass away. Scott sits on the board of directors of the Canadian Spinal Research Organization.
Scott’s passions in his life are; his family, his financial planning practice and the Toronto Argonauts. He has been an Argo’s season’s ticket holder since 1982 and is a columnist for the Argos Admirals website.
